In 2022, Los Angeles becomes home to the first Iovine and Young Center (IYC). Before IYC’s opening, three education professionals, Edmund Adjapong, Shaun Dougherty, and Nolan Jones, remark on IYC’s future impact and the innovative and interdisciplinary opportunities it would present to underrepresented high school scholars in the city’s Leimert Park area. They also comment on the potential outcomes of the real-life learning framework IYC offers.
