Former music executive Jimmy Iovine and hip-hop producer Andre “Dr. Dre” Young have transformed education curricula. The USC Iovine and Young Academy and the Iovine and Young Center (IYC) opened their doors in 2014 and 2022, respectively. Academy and IYC students can learn more about innovation and business.

At the SoLa Impact Material Science & Engineering Lab powered by Howmet Aerospace Foundation in south Los Angeles, students can create the innovation of tomorrow. The lab’s curriculum is designed by the USC Iovine and Young Academy for students K–12.

The USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy is partnering with Microsoft for Startups to offer students key resources like mentorship and technology access through the Academy’s Innovation Quest initiative.

USC Iovine and Young Academy hosted its second annual Founders Bootcamp on September 20, 2024. Prospective entrepreneurs heard stories from business founders and participated in hands-on mentorship and expert-led sessions.

USC Iovine and Young Academy is collaborating with Ernst & Young LLP to enhance inclusion, diversity, equity, and access for women within entrepreneurship, business, and leadership.
