About the
Iovine and Young Center
After the success of the USC Iovine and Young Academy, Jimmy Iovine and Andre “Dr. Dre” Young wanted to scale its instruction to cater to the high school level. Jimmy and Dr. Dre understood that college education and careers were shifting, and that meant secondary education had to also evolve. They felt it necessary to better equip young scholars for college and their upcoming professions.
Iovine and Young Center (IYC) is the future of secondary education — it’s high school reconceptualized and gives students a boost in discovering their forthcoming careers. It’s leading-edge and interdisciplinary. IYC mixes its curriculum with real-world, project-based learning, letting students interact and collaborate with top industry experts, educators, and executives.
